The Psychology Clinic for Social and Communication Disorders is located in Westmead, Sydney, to cater for the growing number of people diagnosed with a social-communication disorder such as Autism Spectrum Disorders and Asperger's Syndrome. The Psychology Clinic for Social and Communication Disorders aims to provide children and young adults affected by social-communication disorders with evidence-based assessment and mental health treatment services, and to provide support and education to those who care for them.

Many families worry about the mental health and well-being of a person they love with a social-communication disorder. The maze of support services available can be difficult to negotiate. Mental health services often do not cater for the specific learning strengths and weaknesses of people with social-communication disorders, and disability services often do not provide specialised mental health expertise.

Dr Michelle Wong opened The Psychology Clinic for Social and Communication Disorders in order to fill this gap in services. Dr Wong applies her experience gained from over ten years working in public mental health and disability services to provide expert assessments and treatments sensitive to the specific learning needs of people with social-communication disorders and their families.
